Lillian Padilla

Lillian Padilla’s family has deep roots in the Spanish Colonial history of northern New Mexico; her engravings in
the retablo tradition speak to that history and centuries-old culture. Her work is shown yearly at the Traditional
Spanish Market in Santa Fe, an honor accorded to artists with a local ancestral lineage, and who work in strictly
traditional, Spanish Colonial-era techniques.
