Life-Drawing Groups at ARGOS Studio/Gallery

Notice: Argos continues to be affected by the waning public health issues. Each group decides
its own protocol, according to evolving conditions.
Details on current restrictions are in red below:

There are four live-model drawing groups meeting at Argos each week. Reservations may be needed.
The groups are operated at cost, to cover model fees and overhead expense.

Tuesday, 9:30am to 12:00pm -- mixed-length poses -- $15/person
This group is open to walk-in

Tuesday, 1:30pm to 4:30pm -- one pose, with one or two gesture-session breaks -- $15/person
This group has not re-opened yet

Tuesday, 6:30pm to 9:30pm -- mixed-length poses, 2-min. to 40-min. -- $10/person
Size-limited, please sign up via the Meetup site

Saturday, 10:00am to 1:00pm -- one long pose -- $13/person

This group has not re-opened yet

Please arrive with some time to get settled.

Each group is semi-autonomous, has its own personality and tends to maintain a characteristic size.

Saturday's long pose is conducive to easel work in watercolor or oils, as is Tuesday afternoon's. The only solvents
or oil mediums allowed are Gam-Sol, Galkyd, or straight oils like walnut oil.

A map is here.

Visit the Saturday morning ,
Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening groups on their Meetup.com pages.

The Tuesday evening drawing group is a continuation of the one that Eli Levin formed
in his studio in 1969. It is Santa Fe's longest-running artist-model drawing group
in continuous operation.

The Saturday group was also formed in Eli Levin's studio, around 1991, for those interested in
long-form poses.
